Homework

This year in fourth grade we will stick to a Monday through Thursday homework schedule. Occasionally students will have to work on a book report or other academic assignment on a weekend. Here is our weekly schedule. 




Monday- Students chose spelling from iPick Spelling Menu, Read 20 min.

Tuesday- Math Assignment, Read 20 min.

Wednesday- Spelling Pretest, Read 20 min

On Wednesday nights students are assigned a pretest at home. A parent, or much older sibling should read the word, say it in a sentence, and then the student should write the word in cursive. When finished the test should be checked and graded by an adult. This midweek practice test will help ensure that students are prepared for the actual test in class on Friday. If internet access is available, students may take the test online at Spelling City. Please print the assignment or email it to me.

Thursday- Book Blog/or draft to be typed at school-
1. If typing at home go to: Kid Blog Site 
2. Login with username and password. (Students will have it written in their agenda)
3. Go to the top of the page, click "new post" and begin to write!
*If you are not typing your book blog at home, you must have a draft (about 6-10 sentences) ready to turn in Friday morning.
