State Lego Projects

So far Sam, Cora, Anam, Ella, and Allie have built NH! Some kids are making the Old Man of the Mountain, and other NH related items too. Ella's NH even had a treasure chest out at the Isles of Shoales, because some historians say that BlackBeard may have buried his treasure there!  Here's what we have so far! Great job guys! 

 

Try This

Take a Lego flat plate any color or size and add bricks to make the shape of our state. Add major physical features like the Merrimack River, Lake Winnipesaukee, and the White Mountains.  Add whatever creative touches you like! Bring it in to share for extra credit. 

Or... make a model of the Old Man on the

Mountain or another NH symbol.

Game Up

I love love love playing any kind of game! Kids do even MORE. Our class is trying out a new site this week called Sumdog. Each students has a user name and password written in the front of their agenda. Students have to continually solve math problems based on the Common Core Standards. Here is the link! Prime and Composite Numbers

Well there was complete confusion by the end of the math lesson today. It was funny actually because I had the students use the response clickers so I could assess who was getting the concept and who was not. The software creates a bar graph on our interactive white board, showing correct and incorrect answers. It was fifty-fifty, so needless to say I'm reteaching it tomorrow!
